MAN CITY WIN LEAVES DOOR OPEN FOR LIVERPOOL

With Man City's 2-1 victory over Arsenal at the Eithad on Sunday, Liverpool can move into outright second in the Premier League, if they beat Everton at Goodison Park on Monday night.

Chelsea are the runaway leaders going into Christmas and Conte's team are certainly the one's to catch, even at this stage of the Season.

But a Liverpool victory over Ronald Koeman's Everton would bring the gap to the top down to 6 points for Liverpool.

Its important to take advantage over other team's results and the Man City v Arsenal game was always going to prove pivotal for Jurgen Klopp's side.

A win for Arsenal would have put some pressure on the Reds to beat Everton, just to stay level on points with the Gunners, however Guardiola's win means we can leap-frog them back into outright-right second.

Thanks Raheem Sterling for the winning goal and the £49 million transfer fee.

  1. This is so true but this is also usually the time i fear the most. When Liverpool have the opportunity take advantage of other teams that drop points, they usually, for some reason, also drop points. So as much as I know Liverpool have all it takes to beat Everton in their own backyard, and any other team for that matter, this crazy, almost voluntary, response is one of the things that frightens me the most about our team for many years now. They have already shown those signs this season with a needless loss at Bournemouth and draw at home against a toothless West Ham. I just hope we get what we all expect out of this game.
